Tree Spirit Coverlet

Email
is taken from an original painting by Courtney Davis. The Celts and Druids held trees to be sacred, especially the oak which was an important symbol of their religion. They believed that the oak represented the World Tree which ties all three worlds together. Its highest branches reach into the Upper World, its trunk lives in the Earth World, and its roots formed a passageway into the Under World. To the Druids, the oak also represented the strength of the immortal soul. The coverlet is approximately 50"x60" with fringe on all four sides. Triple-woven in the U.S.A. of 100% cotton. Machine washable, pre-shrunk and color-fast. Packaged with artist/design information.
